PRESS RELEASE: “OUR MP, HON. MRS. BARBARA OTENG-GYASI & MCE , HON. MOZART OWUH ARE FIXING THE MESS LEFT BY “INCOMPETENT” ONES, "RENTED JOURNALIST" MUST STOP THEIR "FAKE NEWS"- PCD URGES

Prestea Communicators for Development (PCD) a pressure group in Prestea wish to commend efforts being put in by the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resource, Hon. Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, who is also MP for Prestea Huni-Valley & MCE, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh over their efforts for the good people of Prestea Huni-Valley.

Our Municipality is a gold mining area, and due to government efforts to sanitize Small Scale Mining, some individuals, who are involved in the illegal mining are deeply sponsoring the media and pushing agendas that the government of Nana Akuffo Addo hates them. It is important to note, these people have encouraged illegal mining for centuries, but our community is still in tatters. What they think about is THEIR STOMACH. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF PRESTEA HUNI-VALLEY. They do not care about increased health hazards associated with illegal mining. They don’t care about school drop outs due to galamsey. They do not care about increased teenage pregnancy due to illegal mining.

However, the leadership of Prestea Communicators for Development see the detriment Prestea Huni-Valley has gone through due to illegal mining. Unfortunately, those who are colluding, employing rented journalists and using media houses to push such agendas are the ones who make a lot of noise of “killing related to spiritualism, forgetting that, ritual killings is a key component of illegal gold mining”. Of course, they refuse to talk about. Innocent people die from such greedy individuals. It is important to note that, BUILDING A HEALTHY COMMUNITY FOR THE FUTURE IS BETTER THAN SILVER OR GOLD. What shall it benefit Prestea Huni-Valley if few people get richer and the rest perish!! Prestea Communicators for Development will one day be vindicated for pursuing agenda that will save PRESTEA FOR FUTURE, not stomach individuals. The same people turn round and say, “NA PANYIN BIA NNE KROM HA”.

Now, these are some few things our MP Barbara Oteng-Gyasi & MCE, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh are doing:

1.       Sat,6/10/2018..... Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has recruited 220 Mining Guards trained to Police Mining Activities in the country. 23 YOUTH FROM PRESTEA HUNI-VALLEY HAVE BEEN RECRUITED.

2.       Prestea Inner City Roads: Ministry of Finance has approved 15 KM Prestea Inner City Roads as part of the PHASE 1 of SYNOHEDRO ($ 2 billion Batter deal).

3.       NATIONS BUILDERS CORSE (NABCO)

A totall of 344 Graduate, some of who have been unemployed since 2011 have been recruited in Prestea Huni-Valley. Summary:

4.       Prestea Sankofa Gold: Before the Nana Akuffo Addo government won 2016 , this gold mining company has been shut down with three months unpaid salary. In fact, the company shut down on November, 2016, under the watch of incompentent ONE, the former President Mahama. Today, under the watch of Dr. KK Sarpong, the company is seriously undergoing revival. Workrs Salary has been cleared. Thanks to Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi & MCE, Hon. Mozart Owuh.

5.       Forestry Commission: The forestry commission in July 2018 inaugurated 5000 Youth in Forestry. Over 50 Youth from Prestea Huni-Valley  are currently being recruited among.

6.       Hon. Mozart K. Owuh inherited huge debt left by his predecessor, Hon. Wisdom Cudjoe’s administration. This was made known, as the first town hall meeting at Bogoso in early 2018 hinted some over GHc 800,000 debt left at the Assembly. But, he has been able to settle all, and still pursuing developmental projects.

7.       1D1F—Oil Palm Factory has been settled on for Prestea Huni-Valley.

8.       Other roads: Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Kwaku Asoma Kyeremeh recently struck a deal with Golden Star Bogoso Prestea Ltd to partner government to fix roads such as Prestea-Bogoso, Prestea-Bondaye, Bogoso-Huni Valley which is good.

9.       Upgrading of Prestea Government Hospital: Through Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, Children Ward project, initiated by former MP, Hon. Blay, has been redesigned and being taking up seriously, under the supervision of future Urban Council Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Ennor Kwesi Arthur, the humble Assembly Member.

10.   Coming up, the MP, Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi is about to launch “poverty alleviation loan scheme for women” in Prestea Huni Valley Municipality

In fact, if half these went on under previous incompetent Mahama government, under DCE, Mr. Wisdom Cudjoe & MP, Mr. Kwesi Blay who “waged personal war over power struggle, denying Prestea Huni-Valley any meaningful project. In fact, there are key projects in Prestea which the DCE then, refused to do, just to make the MP, Mr. Kwesi Blay unpopular, in order to win NDC primaries, which indeed, he succeeded.

It is important that, while starving our community of any meaningful project, they managed to establish two radio stations, to churn Propaganda& Lies to the public, thinking, their continuous lies will keep them in power to deceive the people.

We at Prestea Communicators for Development, PCD are convinced the people of Prestea Huni-Valley will choose wisdom over self seeking individuals. PCD belief not amount of “rented journalist” using “dishonest media outlets” will succed. The Almighty God will surely not let self-interest lead. The will of the few, who sit to think, like David, will conquer Goliath, to put Prestea Huni-Valley in right path. Amandla! Amandla!! Amandla!!! Freedom.
