PRESTEA HUNI-VALLEY MP SETS RECORDS STRAIGHT ON “CONTROVERSIAL” INCUBATOR, PUSHES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PRESTEA TOWN ROADS AND PRESTEA-BOGOSO ‘UGLY’ ROAD NETWORK.
















The MP for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources , Nkosuohemma Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has clarified the controversies surrounding an incubator installed by Kokrokoo Foundation at Prestea Government Hospital in 2017.
Speaking to Nanaba Boakye Ansah today on Prestea based Energy FM, Hon. Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, who has been enstooled as Nkosuohemma by Chiefs of Wassa Fiase, she said “as part of Kwame Sefa Kayi’s One Hospital, One Incubator campaign, it was possible for anyone to donate the money and specify where the facility should be installed”. She added that “ I donated the said amount and appealed to them to install it at the hospital in Prestea, which Kokroko foundation did that perfectly. So am really surprised this has generated so much controversy in constituency!.
It can be recollected that this incubator issue became a subject of discussion on MPU-NE-MPU, a political show on Best 90.5 FM in Bogoso a couple of weeks ago.

Prestea Communicators for Development went down do Prestea Government Hospital to see if the incubator is serving its purpose. Speaking to a senior nurse, he said at the moment, the incubator is NOT serving its purpose because there is NO AIR CONDITIONER at the Children Ward to give the temperature needed for it to work. So it now not serving its optimal purpose and recommended IMMEDIATE FIXING OF AIR CONDITIONERS to make the $10,000.00 worth facility serve its purpose.
OTHER PRESSING ISSUE AT PRESTEA GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL.
The Former MP used his MP fund to start Children Ward at Prestea Government Hospital, but he could not complete the project within his 8 year tenure. The place is now serving as enroute to snakes into the Hospital. Last year, two big snakes used that root into the Hospital, which we killed it, a nurse told PCD. The building must be continued and completed.
PRESTEA TOWN ROADS.
The MP said, she has been pushing so hard for construction of Prestea Town Roads as well as Prestea to Bogoso roads and it is her hope that, very soon her efforts will yield the necessary results.

1.       Prestea Communicators for Development while thanking the MP, Hon. Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi for her efforts, will still appeal that the AIR CONDITION needed to make the incubator function be provided.

2.       Prestea Communicators for Development is appealing to the MCE, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh to factor the absolute re-building of Prestea Government’s Hospitals facilities, and especially complete the Children Ward that has been abandoned by the former MP to provided services to Children of Prestea and its environs.


3.       Prestea Communicators for Development will continue to urge the MP and the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo to come to aid of Prestea, a gold town which has been rejected for many decades by governments that have come to pass. This is the time Prestea must have its share of all the GOLD it provides to mother Ghana.
