SCHOOL CHILDEREN STRANDED IN PRESTEA, GSBPL DISOWNS PRESTEA CHILDREN, SHIRKS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO COMMUNITY. WHERE DID PRESTEA GO WRONG? PRESTEA COMMUNICATORS FOR DEVELOPMENT REQUEST AUTHORITIES TO STOP THIS CRUEL TREATMENT BY GSBPL.

The leadership of youth group Prestea Communicators for Development (PCD) is absolutely astonished to witness today, that Golden Star Bogoso Prestea Limited (GSBPL) left school children of Golden Star Primary & JHS stranded at Neil Stevenson Park, Prestea, because the company has declared all school children whose parents/guardian don’t work with the Mining Company will be denied opportunity.
This “apartheid” developments, which, has been smuggled in, is unheard of, since the School, Golden Star Primary & JHS is the for GSBPL and the kids have been using the bus for the past ten years. This latest developments, according to PCD, is a direct tactics by the company to deny the good children of Prestea quality education, and an attempt to continue derail the developments of Prestea.
Prestea, is by far, the most ugliest town among the gold mining towns in the country. Our schools, hospitals, roads, potable water are nothing to write home about, and now, our future leaders, are also going to be denied quality education using “apartheid strategy”.
We call on our MP, Hon. Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi and MCE, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh to take urgent action on this unpalatable development.

Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, who is also MP for Prestea Huni-Valley & MCE, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh over their efforts for the good people of Prestea Huni-Valley. Our Municipality is a gold mining area, and due to government efforts to sanitize Small Scale Mining, some individuals, who are involved in the illegal mining are deeply sponsoring the media and pushing agendas that the government of Nana Akuffo Addo hates them.
